DETAILED ITINERARY:

The tour is customizable and, at the time of booking, Vino N’ Joy can arrange a different pricing if you need to join later or to leave earlier. Please contact Lucia Campo if you have more questions.

Flights are not included. Participants are responsible for obtaining their own travel insurance. Vino N’ Joy offers the opportunity to purchase a cancellation insurance and a medical insurance (see details below).

DOCUMENTS NEEDED:

Participants are responsible for obtaining their own travel documents. Italy is part of the Schengen Area, so U.S. citizens can travel visa-free for 90 days in any 180-day period across all Schengen countries, including Italy. However, starting from 2025, U.S. travelers will need to apply for an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) authorization before entering the Schengen Area. This is not a visa but a pre-travel authorization, similar to the ESTA for the U.S. The ETIAS application will be online, and it will require a small fee.

A not-refundable deposit per person is required at the time of reservation. See the details on the specific travel page.

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS:

Your cancellations must be communicated in writing by email to lucia@vinonjoy.com as soon as possible. In no case a refund will be provided in the event of cancellation on your own part.

There’s no refund for leaving the tour early or arriving on tour late.

In the event of trip cancellation by Vino N’ Joy, all trip members will receive a full refund and will be notified a minimum of 60 days before the trip departs. Vino N’ Joy LLC is not responsible for additional expenses incurred by trip members such as non-refundable air tickets, additional hotels, medical expenses, passport and ETIAS.

MEALS:

All breakfasts, most lunches and few dinners, wine and olive oil tastings noted in the detailed itinerary are included. All other meals are on your own and I’ll give you suggestions on the choices available.

Dinner and lunches included in the tour price have been carefully planned emphasizing local and traditional ingredients, available in the season. I will customize your menu based on specific dietary needs and/or food allergies you indicated in this booking form. Wines and other alcoholic beverages are not included at meals, unless they are part of a wine and food pairing experience.

If you like, you may contribute to a “wine fund” at the beginning of the tour, which will be used to purchase wine shared at meals; or you may order and pay for your own wine.

Although tips are not required in Italian restaurants and wineries, they are welcome, and they should be paid cash.

ACTIVITIES:

Excursions, guided tours, entrance tickets, private transfers, wine tastings, EVO tastings, are included. Public transportation tickets in the city center are included when there are group activities. You might purchase your own tickets for other museums, for public transportations or pay your taxi, for activities not included in the detailed itinerary.

TRANSFERS:

All transfers in Italy are included and will be provided by private bus. A private transfer from Malpensa International Airport to the first meeting point is also included for those who need it. At the end of the tour, Vino N’ Joy can assist with purchasing a ticket for the shuttle train to Malpensa International Airport, at your own expense.

ACCOMMODATIONS:

Accommodations are in 4-star Hotels with breakfasts included. Prices per person are based on double occupancy, a single supplement charge will apply if you need your own room.

CHANGES TO THE ITINERARY:

I’ll do my best to make sure the itinerary is as accurate as possible, however the itinerary, overnight accommodations, restaurants, and visits to producers may be subject to changes depending on availability, weather, or other reasons beyond my control. In any case, alternative arrangements of the same standard and quality will be provided.

TRAVELLING IN A GROUP:

Vino N’ Joy organizes exclusive tours with small groups (minimum 6, maximum 10), in order to provide highly personalized service, to be flexible to meet each traveler’s needs, and to ensure you a trip of a lifetime. At the same time, we rely on your commitment to being on time for transfers and open to different activities for the group.

TRAVELLING IN ITALY IN SUMMER:

This trip includes short walking routes that, while not particularly strenuous, do require a minimum level of physical endurance and mobility. Please be aware that the journey takes place in July, during the height of summer, with potentially high temperatures. Although the majority of the itinerary is set in the lakes district with temperate climate, warm weather conditions should be expected. Vino N’ Joy recommends keeping this in mind when preparing for the trip.

TRIP INSURANCE:

Vino N’ Joy strongly recommends that you purchase trip insurance. If you don’t have a preferred insurance, Vino N’ Joy offers the following opportunity.

NOBIS INSURANCE

ALL-RISK TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE (cost: $299)

The insurance company will reimburse, under the terms and conditions of this policy, the Insured and one travel companion (provided they are also insured and registered for the same trip) for the cancellation fees incurred due to the termination of travel services. This reimbursement will be determined in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions of the contract and must result from unforeseen circumstances at the time of booking the trip or travel services, specifically caused by:

– Any unforeseen event that is objectively documented, beyond the control of the Insured, and severe enough to prevent the Insured from undertaking the trip; 

– or The objective and unavoidable necessity to assist an ill or injured family member.

In the event of a claim involving multiple insured persons registered for the same trip, the insurance company will reimburse all eligible family members and one travel companion, provided they are also insured.

Coverage also extends to cancellations due to acts of terrorism occurring after the insurance policy has been signed and within the 30 days prior to departure, as long as such acts occur within a 100 km radius of the intended travel destination listed in the insured travel booking or, in the case of flight-only purchases, within 100 km of the destination airport.

MEDICAL EXPENSES UP TO €50,000 (cost: $18)

Medical expenses will be reimbursed within the coverage limits specified in the insurance policy. Eligible expenses include verified and documented medical costs incurred by the Insured during the trip for urgent, unforeseeable, and non-deferrable medical treatments or procedures that arise during the coverage period.

Additionally, hospitalization expenses resulting from an infection will be covered according to the terms and limits of the policy.
